Student Engagement
Our SRC have been in charge of organising our Zooper Dooper fundraiser for our upcoming Camp. They have been responsible for going to each classrooms and supplying students with a delicious icy pole as well as being trusted collecting the right money. This is great experience for our students. Next term we will have scheduled meetings where students will be able to discuss future whole school events and fundraisers to be involved in.
Harmony day was an absolute hit! The day involved 3 rotations with a focus on cooking, dancing/games as well as creating a harmony puzzle piece. Staff busily prepared dough for the cooking activity where students were involved in cooking and eating noodles with either an italian or asian influence. Students experienced salsa and bollywood dancing alongside board games from Africa. It was great to see our community get involved with dressing up in traditional clothes from their culture or representing Harmony with the colour orange. It was an amazing day and truly representing the slogan ‘everyone belongs’.
Congratulations to 3/4 LP who were the Specialist Marble Prize winners for Term 1. The lucky class received a Easter Bunny prize each to celebrate their fantastic efforts in behaviour, effort and getting along.
Lunchtime clubs have been added in 2024 and students are absolutely loving them. Each staff member is responsible for a club each lunch time which include chess club, craft club, dance club and skipping club to name a few.
