Walkathon 2026

On Monday 17th November, we will be holding our annual SKiPPS walkathon on the school oval between 2-3pm. During the event we challenge students to complete as many laps of the school oval as possible. 

The event encourages our students to get active and is also a major fundraiser for the school and all funds raised will be used to upgrade our ageing classroom iPads and laptops. 

Last year we moved to an online platform to manage the sponsorship and donations and this was a huge success with $22,697 raised for our school!

This year we will run the walkathon in exactly the same way and we are looking to raise even more than we did in 2024!

We are asking all our families to share the online link with friends and family to seek sponsors and donations for students to take part and allow for the whole community to get involved. 

We are really excited to announce that Rachel O'Connor and Nicole Prime at McGrath St Kilda are sponsoring the event. 

Excitingly, they will provide 50 cents for each lap completed on the day! This is so generous and an extra incentive to get active and complete as many laps as possible!

We also want to acknowledge our neighbours Woolworths Metro Fitzroy Street who are supporting the event with donations of fruit and icy poles to help us recover afterwards.

All funds will go towards upgrading our classroom devices with new iPads and laptops to support students in their learning.

Closer to the time we will reach out for volunteers to help us with the event on the day.
