Principal Connections

It’s been an incredibly exciting time as we edge closer to the handover of our brand-new school!  While we don’t yet have a confirmed handover date, it’s wonderful to see things taking shape on site. The anticipation is building as we look forward to the moment we can begin bringing in resources and start setting up our classrooms. It’s amazing to think that in just a few short months, our school will begin to come to life with the vital ingredient - students!!  :)

We are thrilled to have appointed our OSHC - Team Kids!  This is an imporatant service that we wanted to ensure we provided for families.  Please see their page futher along in the newsletter for details on how to register for their service which will begin on Day 1!

Our first staff get-together was held last week and the room was buzzing. Seeing everyone come together for the first time as a team was so wonderful, and it was a great opportunity to start building relationships (TRUE Value) and the sense of unity (TRUE Value) that will define our school community. During the afternoon, we also celebrated Daniel’s birthday, our very first staff birthday. There was singing, laughter, and cake, and it was a lovely way to mark the beginning of many special celebrations to come.

Last Friday we also held our first Leadership Day with our Learning Specialists (Jacqui Van, Kaitlin Baker and Nicolle Kent), Leading Teachers (Anthony Richards and Kara Hermann), and Tiffany, Daniel and I. This was a the first opportunity to begin setting our shared expectations and the way we’ll work together as a leadership team. The energy and passion in the room were inspiring, it’s clear that we have a very committed team who are ready to lead learning and culture with purpose and collaboration.

Looking ahead, we’re planning our student transition sessions and the very imporatnt Family Info night on 4th Decemmber.   Please remember to put all of thedates in your diary.  You will find detailed info on this on the transition page near of the end of the newsletter. We look forward to sharing more information with families during these sessions.

Every step brings us closer to welcoming students and families into our school,  and we can’t wait!.

Warm regards,
