Principal's Message

Thank you

To our wonderful Roselea community, I wanted to pass on a sincere thank you for your continued support over the past year. We truly do work in partnership for the betterment of our students. Our teaching staff have continued to work tirelessly this year to offer our students the best opportunities inside and outside the classroom. It has been a brilliant 2023 and I know that we have the plans in place to make 2024 even better. May you, your family and friends have a safe and enjoyable Christmas break. 

Presentation Day

A reminder that we will be having our Presentation Day assemblies tomorrow, Tuesday 12 December. This event will be split up into 2 assemblies.

• 3-6 Assembly: 9.15am – 10.45am
• K-2 Assembly: 11.40am-12.30pm

If your child is receiving an award at either of the assemblies, you will receive a letter from the school notifying you. I would like to warmly welcome all parents and carers to come regardless of if your child is receiving an award. I very much look forward to celebrating the variety of achievements of our students at Roselea. 

Farewell Year 6

What a cohort we have graduating Roselea PS in 2023. It has been such an honour to work with this group of students over the past 3 years and I know that they will go on to even bigger and better things as they move into high school. Keep the Roselea spirit and community inside you and you will do well. Enjoy the challenge. 

Human Rights Day – 10 December

Yesterday marked the 75th anniversary of one of the world's most groundbreaking global pledges: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This landmark document enshrines the rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. The 2023 theme is Freedom, Equality and Justice for All. 

Staff Development Days

Friday 15 December is the last day of school for students. The school will be closed from 18 December and will reopen for our staff development days (staff only professional learning day) on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 January. Students return on Thursday 1 February 2024 (Years 1-6) whilst Kindergarten students will commence on Monday 5 February 2024.
