From the School Council

From a Student Representative |  Parents and Friends Association | 2023 Council

It has been noticeably quieter at school since the Year 12s have graduated and exams have begun but the School Council have still been working hard to turn some exciting ideas into reality!

As mentioned in the previous Cheltonian, we have been working on a new Uniform Policy to accompany the new uniform and, as of our last meeting, it has been ratified. This was the culmination of months of drafting, feedback and revisions. The SRC had the opportunity to contribute student ideas and, as a result, outdated rules regarding hair colour, style and clothing length have been updated, allowing for more self-expression at school. The Uniform Policy can be found here.

As well as this, we have begun the process of gaining parent, staff and student feedback on new projects at Cheltenham. The School Council is now focused on reviewing the form sent out a fortnight ago and applying these ideas to the new plans. A big thank you to all the respondents.

We hope everyone enjoys their well-earned break (I know I will!) and good luck to those with exams still to go!

Parents and Friends Association

We continue to seek interested parents and friends to join the Cheltenham Secondary College Parents and Friends Association (PFA).  We are not looking for you to run all sorts of complex meetings or events single-handedly. We simply want the PFA to have a large group of individuals willing to help at any fundraising or school events.  We want it to be a fun group of people rather than a burden and grind for those involved.

If you want to be added to our mailing list, please complete the PFA Expression of Interest survey.  To find out more contact Sharon: pfcheltsec@gmail.com

*If you have already completed the EOI, thank you.  We have your details and will be in touch.
