Francophones Downunder

Bonjour !

Je suis Sophie, maman de Thibault, en Grade 2 à Fitzroy Primary School. Parisienne de naissance et Melbournienne d'adoption, je suis aussi prof de français langue étrangère et pour les petits bilingues francophones (sous le nom de Sophie French Tutor).

Il y a 4 mois, j'ai créé mon podcast, Francophones Down Under, dédié aux familles francophones en Australie (mais pas que) qui souhaitent transmettre le français et leur culture à leurs enfants, sans prise de tête.

Pour l'épisode 9, qui a été publié au début du mois, j'ai interviewé Lauren Marquet, que vous connaissez sûrement pour son travail extraordinaire lors de l'organisation de la "Fête à Fitzroy". Maman de Marcel et Mathilde, Lauren fait également partie du groupe de parents sans qui le projet de l'école bilingue de Fitzroy n'aurait jamais vu le jour.

Hello!

I am Sophie, Thibault's mom, in Grade 2 at Fitzroy Primary School. Paris born and Melbournian by adoption. I am also a French Foreign Language teacher and bilingual French-speaking children`s tutor (under the name of Sophie French Tutor).

Four months ago, I created my podcast, Francophones Down Under, dedicated to Francophone families in Australia (and beyond) who want to transmit French and their culture to their children, without too much stress.

For episode 9, which was published this week, I interviewed Lauren Marquet, whom you surely know for her extraordinary work in organizing the "Fête à Fitzroy". As a mom of Marcel and Mathilde. Lauren is also part of the group of parents without whom the project of the bilingual school in Fitzroy would have never come to life.
