Principal's Message
Mrs Belinda Hall - Relieving Principal
Thank you
This week draws a close to my time relieving as principal. We welcome back Mr Jones at the beginning of next term and look forward to hearing all about his adventures whilst on leave. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your ongoing support and community spirit which makes leading this school such a pleasure. We have had a busy term working in partnership to write the School Behaviour Support and Management Plan and prepare for the Twilight Fair on November 9. This Wednesday, I look forward to hosting the principal’s morning tea with 38 worthy recipients.
Over the past fortnight, we were privileged to listen to all three bands, see the after-school dance groups perform, Years 1-4 experienced goalball and the police band visited our school. Their talent was inspiring to our students, and we thank the band committee for organising this wonderful opportunity. Without our supportive and proactive parent community, students would not be exposed to these phenomenal experiences. Watching the concert band play alongside the police band was definitely a highlight.
Aboriginal Education awards
Last Thursday, I attended the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) awards evening. Chloe H was presented with an award for academic excellence and her achievements in creative and performing arts. Mrs Clements also received an award for the outstanding contribution she makes to Aboriginal Education within our school and being an active member of the AECG. We are privileged to have a teacher so passionate about enhancing our cultural awareness and providing ongoing opportunities for students to learn and engage with Aboriginal Education in an authentic way. Congratulations Mrs Clements and Chloe!
Reports
The reports for semester one will be sent home with the students this Wednesday July 3. These reports provide information as to your child's progress and achievements throughout the term. If your child is absent on Wednesday, the report will be available for collection from the school office. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact the class teacher to discuss the report and address any queries you may have.
We hope you have a restful holiday and look forward to seeing you when school returns on Tuesday 23 July.
