ALL WELCOME – WORSHIP AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday morning for worship. Worship times are 8:30am for a Traditional Service and 10:00am for a more Contemporary service with Godly Play on offer for primary school aged children. Tea and Coffee and a time of gathering is held most weeks after both worship services. On the first Sunday of the month, we join together in one service, with a blended style of worship.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Playgroup @ St Paul is on each Tuesday during term time in the Hall for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver.  Playgroup runs from 9:00-10:30am, but we welcome people anytime from 8:30am onwards to help set up. Join us for a coffee, playtime, story time and songs from 9:00-10:30am each week during school terms. Cost is $2 per family.

Next week we will be looking at the winning combination of dinosaurs and diggers with the book ‘Dinosaur Dig’ by Penny Dale.

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week in the Bible reading Jesus uses the parable of the mustard seed to tell of how God grows his Kingdom.  The parable highlights how the good news of Jesus started with the witnessing of his miracles by a small number of disciples and has spread throughout the world and across time.  It also illustrates that small, humble and seemingly insignificant acts or events can result in big things of great importance.

Many great things start small.

[Jesus Said] “What shall we say the Kingdom of God like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.  Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.” (Mark 4:30-32)

Mealtime Prayer:

God has planted, God has fed. Thanks be to God for daily bread. Amen.

Prayer:

Gracious God, help us to see with eyes of faith that your kingdom is present in our lives and world, bringing mercy and steadfast love through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessing:

(Child’s name) May the God of steadfast love give you a thankful heart

morning and night and all the day long.  Amen.
