Congratulations to Thomas, who made his TV debut on Saturday night. Thomas was a contestant on the ABC show Hard Quiz. His chosen topic was Caterpillar Earth Movers. You can see this episode on ABC iView.
Well done, Thomas, you did such an amazing job.
You may also see some of the Kehoe family on our screens soon. The students, along with other local children, took part in a CNN travel show which will be shown in the USA on September 22nd and Australia on the 23rd.
Our school was lucky enough to receive a grant for almost $1,500 from the Waubra Wind Farm. This grant is being used to buy new sports jumpers for when we compete against other schools. Our school captains attended a morning tea in Waubra to meet with other recipients and to formally receive our grant.
It’s with pleasure, and sadness, that I let the school community know that Miss Feely (Rachael) has excepting a 1-year contract at EarthEd in Ballarat. She will be starting there next term. I wish Rachael all the best in this new role. With this being said, I am now working on filling her roles for Term 3 and 4.
Best of luck, Miss Feely, and we will see you again in 2025.
As the end of term approaches, and we all look forward to snuggling up and keeping warm over the winter break, I would like to let you all know that Mr Shuttleworth will be in the Acting Principal role for the first few weeks back next term. I will be oversea, with my family, spending time with our Canadian family and friends.
End-of-term BBQ order forms went out to all families yesterday. Friday the 28th will be the final day of Term 2, meaning it will be a casual dress (school appropriate dress) and BBQ lunch. It will also be a 2.30pm finish. Please make sure all BBQ forms are completed and money dropped into the office by Monday 24th June.
This Friday is our JSC PJ Day. All students are encouraged to wear PJ's and bring a coin donation. Money raised from this event will go to Backpack Beds and the homeless. Students are welcome to bring slippers and dressing gowns for the classroom, however, will also require shoes and jumpers for going outside.
School reports will be going up live on XUNO next Thursday. All parents will be able to access their child's report on the app or website. If you require a hard copy of your child's report, please notify the school by Wednesday 26th June.
We start Term 3 with our Prep & 1 Swim/Gym program and 5/6 Canberra Camp. Forms linked to these events are all on XUNO. Can parents please ensure they have completed all forms and payments as soon as possible.
I hope you all enjoy your winter break and I look forward to seeing you all when I return in Week 3.
