Carnevale!

This term in Italian, all students have been learning about Carnivale in Venice. Masks are an important part of Carnivale as they are used to hide the identity of the wearer and to create intrigue and mystery during the celebrations.

Our students have spent a lot of time designing intricate and creative masks based on or inspired by a traditional Carnivale character. These include the traditional Colombina, Pulcinella, Pantalone, and Arlecchino characters or an animal or make-believe character from the Venetian celebration.
