Interschool Sport Results

During the first 2 terms of school Greenvale Primary School has been competing in Greenvale District Interschool Sports. Sports are split into summer and winter competitions. The summer sports were Cricket, Tee Ball, Basketball and Volleyball. The winter competition was Soccer, AFL and Netball.

Students participated in a weekly Boys/Mixed and Girls competition during summer sports, competing against 7 different schools and a gala day for winter, which was a round robin format and final. All the sports have completed their allotment of matches so let's check out how our teams went.

Summer

Cricket

The Boys cricket team finished their summer season with 5 wins and 1 loss, finishing second overall for the competition while our girls team went undefeated the whole season and have qualified for the Division cricket finals in Term 4.

Tee Ball

Both boys and girls Tee Ball teams had a great year, winning 4 games each and only losing once. Unfortunately, they both finished 2nd on the ladder and narrowly missed qualifying for the next stage.

Volleyball

Our Volleyball boys team went undefeated during their summer season, qualifying for the Division Volleyball Finals held in Term 4. Our girls team had 4 wins, a draw and a loss in their season, missing out on first place by 2 points!

Basketball

The Boys basketball team had a tough year, winning 1 game while our girls team fought hard all year. They managed 3 wins and finished 3rd overall.

Winter - AFL

Our boys and girls AFL teams won all 3 of their pool matches and both made it to the grand final. Unfortunately, both lost to St Carlo’s. A great result overall for both our teams.

Netball

Our boys' Netball team had an even day, having 1 win, 1 loss and a draw. Our girls team went undefeated in their 3 pool matches and won the grand final! They will compete in the Division Netball finals in Term 3.

Soccer

Our Soccer boys and girls both fought hard during their pool matches, the boys had 1 win and 2 losses. Our girls had 2 wins and 1 loss, narrowly missing out on a grand final position.

Congratulations to all our teams for representing the school with pride and showing our school values! Look forward to hearing about the finals results later in the year.
