Something strange happened on Tuesday, instead of Prep students there were all these Grandmas and Grandpas moving about slowly in the Prep space. We had a fun-filled day with biscuit decorating, fairy bread eating and celebrating being 100 days smarter.

This week in Maths we have been learning about double addition. We learnt that a double in Maths is when we add two of the same number together. We practised making doubles by drawing pictures and representing the doubles with counters. We learnt to write double-addition number sentences. We have been listening to this song to help us remember the double addition quickly and without counting.

At the beginning of the Term, students were introduced to the sky, grass and dirt writing books. These books will help students to reduce their writing size. So far, we have learnt to write the letters that sit in the grass space, a c e m n o r s u v w x.
