Gratitude

We asked our students to write a sentence or two on a staff member, teacher, parent or student who they are grateful for. These are some of their responses:

I am grateful for Mr McClare. I am grateful for him because his classes are fun and he understands if i go through hard times. He understands if i am going through a hard time.

I am immensely grateful for Tory! Every class, she always motivates me to want to do work, to go back to classes, go to school and stay positive! Her class is the best one I have without a doubt and I hope she gets very high marks on her final assessment for uni. Thank you Tory for all you’ve done for me, our class and the school community. ❤️

Rachel as she is the funniest ever and plays games with us - Lillian

Maya because she is new to the school and she is really nice

All of the teaching support/aids, thank you for always being there to talk to and help out classes within the school. all of you are absolutely amazing, thank you!!

Mr Meagher, for always checking in me and being there for me. He makes school a better place to be in and feel less like a chore and hard job. He provides a safe space.

Franny, for being able to always bring a smile to my face with her tail wags and silliness and willingness to be loved and cuddled

Tori for making learning fun and entertaining even when we are in VCE and the more intense school areas

Ms Sandford for being understanding

Ms Ling for always being up for a chat

Miss Growse for being herself always being up for a chat and being proud of everyone

Mr Message for proving that you can always learn and being interested in things I am

Miss Grouse and Miss Patman

Miss Hatfield, being my teacher and always understanding and creating a fun environment

Miss Ritchie for helping anyway she can and noticing when i''m stressing.

Thank you to all the students who took the time to respond! The College community very much appreciates you. Psychological research has shown the practising gratitude can improve your own sense of wellbeing and creates a more positive sense of self. So, take the time to tell someone why you appreciate them!
