Sports Update

Maroondah Division Girls Netball Finals - On Friday the 26th of July, the girls Netball team played in the Maroondah Division Netball finals at Maroondah Nets. 

There were 3 schools competing and we played 2 mini games consisting of 2 x 12 min halves.  We arrived at 10am and played our first game against Croydon Hills PS. Croydon Hills were very strong and we lost by 16 goals but we all put up a great fight.  We then had a break till our second game and in the meantime we had fun playing bounce and the shooters game.  

Next we played Yarra Rd PS. We started off strong but then Yarra Rd had a good second half and we lost by 9 goals. 

We would like to thank our parent helpers; Mrs Ali, Mrs Fegan, Mrs Ting and Mrs Di Gennaro for driving the girls to the courts and back to school and for being great cheerleaders.  We all played amazing games and we couldn’t be prouder of each other.  Thank you to Mrs Carbone for organising the event and being there to support and coach us.  Overall, we all really enjoyed the event even though we were not successful.
