OSHC

Bernadetta Martella

Wominjeka Everyone,

OSHC team is very excited to let you know that we are currently going through the Assessment and Rating Process!

Last time we went through this process was back in March 2019. This process usually occurs every 3 years – but unfortunately, due to Covid lockdowns, it was pushed back of a couple of years.

This is the timeline of this process, however – it’s very hard to know exactly the date of the visit:

  1. Thursday 25/7/24: QIP (Quality Improvement Plan) will be submitted to Department of Education
  2.  1-3 days after the submission – the Department will confirm the day of the visit, which can happen in 1-5 days.
  3. After the visit, a virtual meeting with the OSHC leadership will be set up to discuss any questions or collect any evidence that Department still need.

After the Leadership meeting, The Department will notify of the proposed rating.

QIP (Quality Improvement Plan):

As part of our QIP, we are focusing on Quality Area 7 – Leadership, in particular in Governance and Management Systems.

We are currently working how to support educators, children and families in our new School Holiday program.

One of the strategies is to upskills our educators, especially, Gia. Laxmi, Ruby and Isabel, who need to step up as coordinators/assistant coordinators for the SHP.

We are pleased to let you know that the SHP senior team will attend to the Leadership training from CCC on Wednesday 24/7/24.
