Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Coffee Morning

Next week is creeping up and Friday August 9 at 9:00 am is our coffee morning in the staff room.

Everyone is very welcome and we look forward to seeing lots of families popping in for a cuppa. Bring a friend and enjoy our warm staff room.

Junior School Council Project

You may recall an ongoing sale of Zooper Doopers throughout Term One, with the JSC raising money for the community of Pomonal impacted by bushfires at the start of this year. Yesterday we had Belinda Wethers, the Principal of Pomonal Primary School visit our school to collect the funds raised to support her school. Will M and Bonnie H proudly presented a cheque for over $640.00 to support the students at her school. Thank you to all of the families who contributed to raising these funds and a big thank you to the Junior School Council for promoting this initiative.

Foundation's celebration of learning - 100 days at school. Join us to acknowledge these very important people on Monday.

Staff versus Students Dodgeball Competition on Wednesday - join us at assembly to hear the results and a rundown of the event.

Morning Tea for families - bring a friend, or meet a friend, and have a cuppa in the staff room.
