Year 10 Work Experience

In the last week of Term Two, seventy-five of our students undertook work experience placements that they organized independently. A diverse range of work experience placements were arranged, with students gaining experience at the University of Melbourne, Jetstar, National Australia Bank, Tarneit P-9, Coles, Woolworths, various chemists, real estate agencies, hospitality venues, the Salvation Army, and many other organizations. We hope that these experiences were worthwhile for the students and helped them reflect on their future career options.

“On June 26-28th I did work experience at the airport, which was primary based at Jetstar’s hanger. I enjoyed work experience there due to seeing a different perspective of what goes into planning flights, managing flights and even building aeroplanes. As much as I enjoyed the experience, I also learned that aircraft maintenance / Engineering wasn’t for me, but none the less it was an amazing experience and if anyone gets the opportunity to experience this, I suggest you take it, it truly is life changing.”
