Student Report
The start of term three has been hectic to say the least. We went from the highs of last term, with the beaming success of our year twelve Formal, and straight into our last unit's fast-paced curriculum and its many SAC’s. However, we have had a few events in between.
Our parent information nights for our future year 10 and 11’s allowed us a moment to get to know our school community; big thanks to the staff and students who facilitated everything. Through this, we got a glimpse of the future of TSC and, as we stated on those nights, we’re so excited to see all that they achieve. Careers and Pathways also organised an in-school careers expo with representatives from universities, apprenticeship organisations, the defence force along with many others. This allowed students to gain further clarity on their future pathways and their goals for after their schooling. We have also held our schools first and only Interact - Rotary International Charter Ceremony, in order to celebrate the achievements of the student run club. They have done a lot of work to set up this club within our school, so we’d like to bring attention to their work, such as their many stalls and displays, and encourage students to join them, to help out our local community.
Lastly, there are many tests and SAC’s happening around this time that may be overwhelming, causing you to lose motivation, so we wanted to congratulate you all on your work so far. We are more than halfway through the school year and that in itself is a reason to be proud, so make sure you give yourself credit for all the work you’ve put in. And although you may be studying a lot, try your best to keep up healthy study habits and take regular breaks, there's nothing worse than major burn-out right before a SAC. Turn to your teachers and peers for help, utilise the subjects ‘homework club’, and if you are feeling that emotional strain you can talk to or even email the wellbeing team. You can find support in many places, including in your student leaders, so as always don't be afraid to speak to us if you need. Good luck everyone :)
Take care,
Your college captains
