Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Parents,
First Holy Communion Celebration
This weekend is a very special one for our school community as several of our students will receive their First Holy Communion. We are delighted to celebrate this important step in their faith journey with two beautiful Masses led by Father Colin.
We offer our warmest congratulations to the following students who will be making their First Holy Communion: Louis A., Sophia L., Ashlyn L., Miranda O., Harry R., Éabha C., Benjamin S., Conor B., Ellie L., Natalie S., Richard L., Isaac W., and Matthew X.
This sacred occasion is a time of joy and blessing for the children and their families. We thank Father Colin and the Parish Team and all parents for their guidance and support in preparing the children for this special day. May God bless these students as they continue to grow in faith, hope, and love.
Faith Formation Pilgrimage
I wish to inform you that I will be off-site from Wednesday afternoon through to Friday afternoon this week to complete the final stage of my two-year Evangelisation and Catechesis Leadership Faith Formation Program at a local pilgrimage to St Joseph’s Spirituality Centre in Kincumber.
This journey has been a deeply enriching experience, designed to strengthen leadership through spiritual reflection, theological learning, and a renewed commitment to our shared mission in Catholic education. The pilgrimage offers a sacred space to pause, connect with our faith tradition, and reflect on the values that guide our work with students, families, and staff.
While I am away, Mrs Edwards and our leadership team will continue to ensure the smooth running of school life. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of a community that values both educational excellence and spiritual growth.
Trivia Night
Last Friday evening, MacKillop Hall was buzzing with laughter, friendly competition, and a wonderful sense of togetherness as families gathered for our annual Trivia Night. It was truly a highlight of the year!
From the delicious nibbles to the fabulous balloon prizes, every detail was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. The evening offered more than just fun—it was a fantastic opportunity to build community, strengthen connections, and enjoy each other’s company. The added bonus of fundraising made the night even more meaningful, supporting our shared commitment to enriching student experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to Esther Touma and our team of hardworking parents who brought this event to life. Your creativity, energy, and generosity made the night unforgettable. Events like these remind us of the strength of our Holy Family community and the joy that comes from working together. We are so grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm. Thank you for making this such a special occasion—we’re already looking forward to the next one!
Colour Fun Run
I am thrilled to share an update on our upcoming Colour Fun Run, proudly supported by our amazing Parents and Friends Committee as one of our major fundraising events of the year!
A huge thank you to Amanda Hale (mum of Elsey in Year 1) and the dedicated P&F team for their enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work in organising what promises to be a fantastic day for our students.
To add to the buzz, we’ve introduced daily spot prize draws for registered students. Winners are announced over the microphone and get to choose a prize from the special Spot Prize Box—creating enormous excitement across the school!
This year’s event promises even more fun, with disco moves, tabloid sports, colourful running, and brand-new inflatables. It’s shaping up to be a joyful celebration of school spirit, fitness, and community.
All funds raised will directly support our Creative Arts programs, including Zing Activ dance lessons and Musica Viva experiences planned for 2026—enriching the artistic and cultural opportunities for all our students. Thank you to all our families for your incredible support. We can’t wait to see the colour, energy, and smiles unfold on Friday, 21st November!
Kindest regards,
Pauline Dinale - Principal
