Thank you to the families and staff who provided feedback on our LOTE program. We have decided to have Spanish remain as our LOTE program for 2026. We will be exploring AUSLAN for the future, however for now, the LOTE program will remain with students learning Spanish as their Language Other Than English.
We are still recruiting for 2026, so once all places are filled, I will be able to share with you the teacher placements for 2026.
If you have a request for your child’s placement for 2026, or friendship requests, please email me directly on natalie.vulic@education.vic.gov.au. Not all requests will be granted, but all will be genuinely considered.
On Thursday 13th, we welcomed our 2026 Prep students and families to Dinjerra for their first of three Prep Transition Sessions. It is always such a special time, when you see the new Preps enjoy their first experience in the classroom. The next two sessions are on:
Week 7 - Thursday 20th November
Week 8 - Thursday 27th November
All sessions will be from 9:15-10:45am and include a Parent Information Session, uniform sales and Compass set up.
On November 11th, our student leaders ran an important Remembrance Day commemorative assembly over the speakers. Thank you to our leaders and to the students who read out their Remembrance Day writing. Thanks to the students who brought in flowers to add to our wreath. We will remember them. Lest We Forget

As you know, we were successful in our application for the School Upgrade Fund 2 VSBA (Victorian School Building Authority) project, which was an upgrade to our Basketball Court and Soccer Pitch. The project is now up for tender. This means that a variety of contractors will bid for the project. It is looking like the project will commence in Term 1, 2026. The project was originally valued at $366,000, however the quality surveyors recommended extra funding to build up the base of the courts, so that there is adequate drainage. We were fortunate enough to receive additional funding of $235,000 towards the project. Dinjerra is co-contributing $50,000 towards the project. We are aiming to incorporate either the January school holidays or the April school holidays for project works, in order to minimise disruption to recess and lunch breaks.

On Friday 21st November, we have scheduled our final Emergency Drill for the year. This time we will practise the Code Yellow Offsite Evacuation Drill, where we will walk in an orderly fashion to our offsite assembly point at Western English Language School (WELS). So far this year we have set records for all of our drills, which shows we are all acting responsibly during the practice sessions, which are an important part of our Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
As a reminder, here are the assembly dates for Term 4:
