Earlier this term, we had the privilege of hosting the final combined PMSA Schools’ ISCF Social for the year. Students from Years 7 to 12 came together on a Saturday evening to reconnect with friends and make new ones from across the PMSA community.
The afternoon began with a chapel service led by our Chapel Band and 2025 Chapel Captains, Caitlin Southwell and Sophie Carmichael, who shared some of their highlights from the year and reflected on God’s faithfulness throughout their leadership journey. During the worship time, ISCF leaders from each of the schools were invited forward and prayed for as they prepare to step into their student leader roles for 2026.
Following the service, we enjoyed a pizza dinner and ice blocks in the Chapel Courtyard, an ideal opportunity to connect with students from Brisbane Boys’ College and Somerville House. Mixed teams were then formed for an evening of beach volleyball at Brisbane Beach Sports, Shaw Park. Thankfully, the covered facilities meant that the earlier rain did little to dampen either the sand or the spirit of the players.
A lively round-robin competition ensured plenty of friendly rivalry, with two teams neck and neck until the final rotation, when one emerged victorious and claimed their well-earned prize, boxes of chocolates!
As the evening drew to a close, we gave thanks to God for a wonderful night of faith, fun and friendship. We’re already looking forward to the next ISCF Social, ice skating, which will take place in Term 1 next year, hosted by Somerville House.
