What's Happening in Italian?

Ciao,
Mi Chiamo, Paula Di Ciocco,
I am the Italian teacher at Mackellar Primary School.
Mackellar Primary School will be celebrating Italian Festa Day on, Monday 1st December. The day will begin with performances and singing at assembly and many activities such as, Bocce, Tombala (Bingo), art and craft activities, making a Pinocchio and a Carnival Festa Mask and dancing to music. Look forward to seeing many families participate in our Italian Festa day.
Term Four, in Italian has been a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn Italian in an energetic, exciting and encouraging environment.
The Grade Preps have been learning about I Numeri (The Numbers) both in English and Italian.
Grade Ones - This term we are learning about greetings in Italian and acting and performing in front of the class. Grade One’s are learning about Cibo (Food) and creating, The Very Hungry Italian booklet with illustrations.
Grade Twos are learning about Il Tempo (The Weather). We enjoy singing and dancing to the song, Che Tempo Fa? What is the weather like?
Grade Three are learning about greetings and creating a La Casa (The House). We are making a diorama, La casa and naming the items in Italian.
Grade Four are researching about, Galileo and Leonardo Da Vinci.
Grade Five and Six are learning about Fashion and clothing. We are researching about Italian Fashion designers.
