Our Year 1 class has been busy learning the exciting skill of persuasive writing! We have been writing about a very important topic, protecting our ocean from pollution. Through our writing, we want to convince everyone to help us keep the ocean clean and safe for all the amazing sea creatures that live there.

This term, we have discovered how to use special words called high modality words that make our writing even stronger and more convincing. Words like must, need to, always, and should help us show how important it is to take care of our ocean. These words make our messages clear and powerful, encouraging readers to join our mission to protect the ocean.

Alongside our colourful pictures, our persuasive texts invite everyone to make a difference by reducing pollution, picking up litter, and caring for our watery world. We are proud of how our writing can make a big splash and help our community learn why protecting the ocean is something we all must do!
