Road Safety
We remind all families to take extra care when travelling to and from school, especially during busy drop-off and pick-up times. Wet weather can increase congestion and reduce visibility, so please stay alert, patient and follow road rules around the school. It’s important that we all model safe and responsible behaviour to help keep everyone in our community safe.
We ask that you please:
- Adhere to posted speed limits within the school zone and surrounding streets.
- Refrain from unauthorised turning movements to maintain traffic flow and safety.
- Do not double park or park over driveways, as this creates hazards and restricts access for residents, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians.
- Demonstrate patience to help reduce congestion during these busy periods.
- Observe and give way to students and pedestrians at designated crossing points.
- Support a culture of safety by modelling road safety behaviours
By working together, we can maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students and the wider community. Your ongoing cooperation is greatly appreciated in keeping our school precinct safe.
P&C Morning Tea
Our final P&C meeting for the year, including the AGM, will be held next Tuesday. The P&C plays a vital role in the life of our school, helping to strengthen the partnership between families and staff and supporting key initiatives that benefit students across all areas of school life. Their contributions help make Chatswood PS the vibrant, well-resourced and community-focused school that it is.
I’d also like to acknowledge and thank several long-serving P&C members who will be stepping away this year as their children move on to high school. A special thank you to Joe and Pearl, who have both held executive roles for many years. Your dedication, time and unwavering support have had a lasting impact on the school and community.
