Principal's Message

Dear St Joseph’s Families,
It's hard to believe we're already in Week 4! The students are continuing to have a fantastic time at school, engaging with their learning, and showing great enthusiasm. It is important to remember as the end of term festivities start that we stay focused on learning.
School Survey Results: Feedback and Growth
Thank you to everyone—parents, students, and staff—who took the time to complete our recent school survey. We greatly appreciate the feedback regarding what is working well within the school and identifying areas for growth. Key results highlighted that parents generally feel:
- Their child is respected, valued, and cared for by school staff.
- They feel welcome within the school environment.
- They have a positive and productive partnership with the school overall.
The results did show that communication is an area for growth. As a staff, we will be looking at ways to tighten our communication procedures within the school to ensure everyone stays informed effectively.
Staffing Updates: New Faces
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to two new members joining our team this week. A big welcome to Miss Olivia Justen who joins our teaching staff and will be working in Stage 1! We also welcome Miss Samantha Price, a pre-service teacher who will be completing her professional experience placement with Kindergarten.
School Book Fair: This Week!
Get ready to grab some great reads! Our School Book Fair is on this week!
Books are available for purchase:
- Before school
- After school
- During lunch breaks
Parents and Carers are very welcome to come and browse the wonderful selection of books available. A massive thank you to Mrs. Warden for all her hard work organising and running the Book Fair. It takes a huge effort, and we greatly appreciate her dedication to fostering a love of reading!
Appreciating Our Grounds
You may have noticed how absolutely fantastic the school grounds are looking lately! We want to express our sincere appreciation to Panther for his tireless work maintaining our beautiful school environment. His commitment makes our school a much more pleasant and engaging place for everyone. Thank you, Panther!
Wii Gaay Program
We want to wish Eliza and Jedda a fantastic time this week as they participate in the Wii Gaay (Clever Kids) program in Dubbo. They will be spending the week enriching their literacy, numeracy, and cultural skills. We are so proud of them for taking part in this wonderful opportunity and look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they return! We are also very thankful for Miss Suey who is attending the program with them. We will share photos from the camp once received.
Grandparents Day Reminder: This Friday!
A friendly reminder that Grandparents Day is happening this Friday, 7th of November. We are so excited to welcome all our wonderful grandparents and special friends into the school to spend time with the students in their classrooms.
Blessings for the week ahead,
Donna
