Senior School Update

Project Ready Graduation

In week 5, our Year 10 students proudly marked the completion of the Project Ready program — a year-long journey that has encouraged them to step beyond their comfort zones, grow in confidence, discover their strengths and connect deeply with our local community through regular volunteering.

Each Wednesday, students have been developing valuable personal and employability skills that will support them long after they leave school. They finish the program more self-assured, more capable, and better prepared for the pathways that await them.

A particularly special moment at the graduation was welcoming residents from Cobram Regional Care, who were invited by the students after forming strong connections across months of visits. Their presence added a wonderful sense of community to the celebration.

Our Project Ready facilitator, Ms Sharonlee Parker, expressed her pride in the group’s development across the year, sharing the following reflection:

“I am so incredibly proud of you all. As your facilitator, it has been inspiring to watch your growth, resilience, and willingness to step outside your comfort zones. My wish for you is that you carry these experiences forward and that the empathy, patience, and understanding you’ve shown continue to guide you in all areas of your life. These are the tools that build stronger communities and kinder futures.”

Congratulations to our Project Ready graduates!

VCE VM Activities Day

In week 6, the Year 11 VCE Vocational Major class hosted an event promoting community engagement  at Thompsons beach as part of our Personal Development Skills study. Lots of planning took place which involved delegating roles to plan activities, organising catering and equipment and completing compliance requirements. On the day, the Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed multiple beach activities followed by a sausage sizzle. The organisers gained valuable experience in planning and implementing a meaningful project. The participants enjoyed spending time in a relaxed environment with their peers.

Year 10 and 11 Exams

Last week our Year 10 and 11 students completed their end-of-year examinations. These assessments provide an important opportunity for students to consolidate their learning and prepare for the transition into their 2025 studies.
