Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
As we move toward the final weeks of Term 4, the energy and activity around the school continues at a lively pace. It has been wonderful to see so many members of our community engaged in a wide range of events and celebrations that highlight both our school spirit and the strength of our connections.
Our 25-Year Anniversary Celebration is now fast approaching, and excitement is certainly building. It promises to be a memorable day as we reflect on the journey of Cobram Anglican Grammar School and celebrate all that has been achieved. Numbers are already very healthy, but we would love to see as many families—past and present—as possible join us for this special milestone. Tickets are free and can be secured via: https://www.trybooking.com/DEWTP.
Students Take Part in Online Safety Workshops
Earlier this week, students from Years 3–10 participated in a series of age-appropriate online safety workshops delivered by Senior Constable Hayley McDonald from Wangaratta Police. Across four sessions, students explored how to stay safe, make responsible choices and navigate the digital world with confidence.
The 3/4 session focused on the basics: identifying trusted adults, never sharing personal details or photos in school uniform, keeping passwords private, being kind online, only ‘friending’ people you know, understanding digital footprints and learning how to block unknown users—especially in gaming environments.
Years 5/6 were introduced to AWARE, a simple guide to safe online behaviour: Appropriate behaviour, Who you’re talking to, Accurate information, Respectful communication and awareness of your digital Environment.
Older students in Years 7–10 explored new laws and regulations that will impact social media use, gaining a clearer understanding of their responsibilities online.
Senior Constable McDonald also added a hands-on element by showing students some of her equipment—and even allowed teachers to pick a student to ‘handcuff’ them, much to everyone’s amusement!
We are very grateful to Senior Constable McDonald for giving up her time to help ensure our students engage safely and responsibly online. As a school we will keep educating our students around the importance of being safe and respectful online.
Remembrance Day
Our students proudly represented Cobram Anglican Grammar School at Remembrance Day services across the region last week, with many taking on meaningful roles in the commemorations. In Cobram, our 2026 School Captains played a central part in proceedings. Miley and Olivia led the town’s main service on Tuesday, speaking with confidence and poise before a large crowd. Year 12 student Lewis Brown continued a valued tradition by performing the Last Post, a moment that was appreciated by all in attendance.
Later in the week, Savannah and Matilda guided a smaller service for residents at Cobram Regional Care, supported by a group of our Year 8 students who assisted with various duties. All students demonstrated exceptional respect, maturity and leadership, and we are incredibly proud of the way they represented our school and honoured this important occasion.
