Literacy
For Writing lessons, students have continued to focus on the writing style of Mem Fox. They have created their own version of ‘Where is the Green Sheep?’

Numeracy
This week, students are revising division. We have been playing games, such as ‘Clumps’, where the teacher calls out a number and students have to get into groups of that amount. The students enjoy this game as they are able to move around the classroom, before finding a group. We then relate this division fact to the multiplication facts. All classes are also completing assessments such as PAT Maths, as one of the assessment tasks that teachers use when writing the student’s reports.

Remembrance Day
On the 11th November, we participated in activities to honour Remembrance Day. Our school captains led a service during the morning, where we paused for a minute of silence. We read stories to help students learn about the day and we made poppy lanterns. Lest we forget.

Integrated Studies
For Geography lessons, students have continued learning mapping skills, including finding landmarks on a map. Students are learning about states and territories in Australia and identifying where they live on a map of Australia.
Halloween Disco
Thank you to the Parents Association for organising the Halloween Disco. The students loved having a free dress day and a bit of Halloween fun!
