Remembrance Day
On Monday, November 11th, our school commemorated Remembrance Day. Staff and students paused to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. A minute’s silence was observed and students participated respectfully in the ceremony. We would like to thank our leaders and Mrs Ross for their support in coordinating the important ceremony.
Prep Transition
Last week, we held our first Prep Transition session for our 2026 Preps. It was wonderful to see our new students participating in a range of fun and engaging activities alongside their parents. We look forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow for our second session, where parents will have the opportunity to stay and hear more information about our school and the exciting year ahead.
Christmas Concert & Art Show
We are excited to invite all families to our 2025 Christmas Concert on Wednesday, 10th December! It’s always a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the school year together and enjoy some student performances.
Before the concert begins, TheirCare will be hosting a BBQ, so families are encouraged to come along early, grab a bite to eat, and relax before the show. Our Art Show will also be open from 5:00pm in the STEAM Room, showcasing the incredible creativity and talent of our students throughout the year.
We look forward to seeing everyone there for an evening of celebration and community spirit!
School Disco
A huge thank you to our wonderful Parent Association and all the amazing parent helpers who made our recent school disco such a fantastic success! The students had an incredible time dancing, laughing, and enjoying the fun atmosphere.
We truly appreciate all the time, effort, and energy that went into organising the event. Your support helps make these special events possible and creates lasting memories for our students.
Drop Off and Pick Up Safely
As mentioned in our last newsletter, we’d like to gently remind families to take extra care during drop off and pick up times to help keep all students and community members safe.
Please avoid stopping or parking over the ‘Keep Clear’ area at the front of the school, as this is a key crossing point for many of our students and families. Keeping this area clear ensures everyone can move safely and smoothly.
We also ask that families do not wait in the slip lane, as this can block traffic turning into Yarra Road and restrict access to the school. It’s important this area remains open so emergency vehicles can access the school quickly if needed. When possible, please consider using nearby side streets and walking a short distance.
Finally, please be mindful of parking signs around the school, which are managed by the local council. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and care in keeping our school environment safe, accessible, and welcoming for all.
Free Public Transport
From 1 January 2026, people aged under 18 can travel free on all Victorian public transport services using a new youth myki card. This includes trams, trains, buses and coach services.
To access free travel, they must tap the myki card on and off each time they travel. For areas that do not use myki cards, they must show their myki card to travel for free.
