Student Leadership

Dear Saltwater Community,

Our student leaders have been incredibly busy this term, actively running clubs, supporting younger students, and helping to create a positive and welcoming environment across the school. They have shown initiative, responsibility, and leadership in the school yard, stepping up whenever needed and being wonderful role models for their peers.

Wellbeing Leaders

Our Wellbeing Leaders have been making a significant impact in the school yard this term. Each day, they take on the important role of supporting our younger students, helping them navigate friendships, solve small problems, and feel included in play.

Through peer mediation, they listen carefully, guide calm conversations, and model positive ways to resolve conflict. Their presence has helped create a safer, kinder, and more connected environment for all students, and we are incredibly proud of the leadership and care they demonstrate.

Supporting with Prep Transition

They represented our school with pride as they warmly welcomed our new parents, guided families to their classrooms, and then joined in with activities to help the children feel at ease. Their confidence, kindness, and enthusiasm created a positive first experience for our newest members of the Saltwater community, truly showcasing what it means to be a Saltwater student.  Their calm presence and positive role-modelling have helped our future Preps feel safe, welcomed, and excited to begin their learning journey at Saltwater next year.

We are incredibly proud of the maturity and empathy our Year 6 students continue to demonstrate.

As Saltwater continues to grow, we want every student to feel a strong sense of connection, belonging, and pride in our campus. Now we all have the chance to leave a mark on our school’s future by helping us choose names for our key buildings and classroom areas!

We are looking for creative, meaningful, and inspiring names that reflect who we are at Saltwater. It may be sa theme, such as nature, oceans, local landmarks, Australian icons, authors, values, or something completely new!

Classroom teachers have the entry sheet.

Competition closes: Friday, 5 December

Winners will be announced in the final week of school, and selected names will become the official titles for our learning spaces in 2026 and beyond!

We want a theme that celebrates our community and reflects the message:

Every person. Every building. All belong at Saltwater.

We look forward to seeing your creative ideas come to life!
