Year 10 Celebration Walk to Akoonah Park

As we near the end of a busy and rewarding year, our year 10 students and staff came together for a well-earned celebration at Akoonah Park. The walk and lunch gave students the chance to pause, connect and reflect on how far they’ve come in 2025.

Under clear skies, the year 10s made their way to Akoonah Park, enjoying the chance to spend time with friends and staff outside the classroom. Once at the park, students settled in with some classic favourites — dim sims, potato cakes, and fish and chips — creating a relaxed, communal atmosphere that made the afternoon special.

There was plenty of energy on display as students kicked the footy, played games and enjoyed a well-deserved break together. The Year 10 Team also took the opportunity to recognise student achievements across the year, presenting awards and prizes that celebrated effort, growth, leadership, and some novelty fun.

We are incredibly proud of the way our year 10 students have approached this year, balancing academic expectations with their growing responsibilities and independence. As they now turn their attention to exam preparation, we wish all students the very best for the weeks ahead. With continued focus and support, they are well placed to finish the year strongly.
