A Message from Our New OSHC Director

Hello Families,

It’s hard to believe that I have already been part of our OSHC community for four weeks! What a wonderful four weeks it has been. I have loved getting to know the children, families and our amazing team of educators, and I’m so grateful for the warm welcome I have received.

Over the past few weeks, I have enjoyed seeing the children’s personalities, interests and creativity shine through each day. From energetic games and sports to art, craft, construction, cooking and quiet moments together, there is always something happening at OSHC!

One of my priorities is making sure children’s voices are heard and valued. I want children to have a genuine say in what happens at OSHC — from choosing activities and games to sharing ideas about our spaces and what they would like to explore.

Our program will continue to grow from the children's interests, giving them opportunities to be creative, make choices, develop independence and build positive relationships.

I am passionate about creating an OSHC environment where every child feels they belong. Over the coming weeks and months, I will continue working alongside our educators, children and school community to strengthen relationships and create a welcoming, inclusive and engaging environment.

I also want OSHC to be a place where families feel comfortable sharing ideas, feedback and suggestions. Working together allows us to create the best possible experience for our children.

Although I have only been here for four weeks, I am already incredibly excited about the possibilities ahead. There are lots of ideas we are beginning to explore, including developing our environments, expanding children's choices, celebrating individuality and culture, and creating more opportunities for children to take ownership of their OSHC experience.

Thank you to our children, families and educators for making my first four weeks so enjoyable. I’m looking forward to continuing to build relationships, listen to our children and create lots of wonderful OSHC memories together.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead — filled with friendship, creativity, laughter, learning and plenty of fun! 💛
