Congratulations to Year 11 Drama students Felix Kairaitis, Olivia Wilson, Milo Mages and Rosie Headley and Year 11 Music 1 students Bede Hammond, Hamish Slack-Smith and Oliver Hyde, who performed with panache at last Friday night’s Visual Arts Showcase.
Congratulations also to our Woodwind Ensemble, who alongside Year 11 Music students Bede Hammond and Hamish Slack-Smith, provided background music for the exhibition.
Congratulations to Year 8 student Emma Fairfax, who attended the Sydney Eisteddfod during the recent holidays. Emma entered two sections, placing in both. Emma was awarded first in Open Country Singing, where played guitar and sang Heart Like a Truck by Lainey Wilson, scoring 93/100. Emma also placed third in the Jazz and Blues singing category, singing Cheek to Cheek by Irvin Berlin, with a score of 91.
Congratulations to Emma on this fabulous achievement, and thanks to her fabulous singing teacher, Hayley McCarthy for her support of Emma.

Year 9 Music student Ella Kerdic performed her Certificate of Performance recital with aplomb last Monday evening. Ella was ably supported by her accompanist Mr Luke Moxey, along with an audience of family and friends.
Congratulations Ella, on your assured, polished performance and best wishes for your upcoming examination.

Many of our Co-Curricular Ensembles will be performing at this year’s City of Orange Eisteddfod. Eisteddfodau provide our students with a wonderful opportunity to perform and to enjoy the performances of others. Further information will be sent to families soon, however, key dates are as follows:
Band Day Wednesday 27 August
Chapel Band and Orchestra are only required for the evening session
Intermediate Woodwind is only required for the day session
Stage Band is now required for the day, only.
Concert Band is required for both the day and evening sessions
