We are delighted to share that Kinross Wolaroi School will host its first ever Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp from 7–9 December 2025 — and we warmly invite applications for children to attend this very special program.
The Sony Foundation Camp is a completely free residential camp designed for children with additional needs. It offers a unique opportunity for children to enjoy a fun-filled holiday experience, supported 24 hours a day by a carefully selected and trained group of our senior students, along with a team of experienced teaching, nursing and medical staff.
The Sony Children’s Camp is a unique respite program that sees our students take on the responsibility of caring for a child with a disability. This is such a rewarding experience for all involved and an invaluable opportunity for families to spend some valuable time together, knowing their child will be well looked after.
This is a unique opportunity for our school as we will become one of only 3 regional locations for a camp like this.
The camp will be held on our campus, with children staying in comfortable boarding accommodation and taking part in a flexible and inclusive activity program. Each child will be paired with 2 or 3 student companions who will care for them throughout the camp, helping to create a warm and trusting bond that allows campers to feel safe, supported, and celebrated.
This program also provides a short but valuable respite for families and carers — knowing that their child is in good hands, enjoying themselves, and building friendships in a caring and well-resourced environment.

A Call for Medical Volunteers
We are also seeking expressions of interest from qualified nurses and medical practitioners who may be able to volunteer their time to support the camp. Medical volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort and wellbeing of all campers, and work closely with our team to provide light-touch, onsite clinical support across the three-day program.
