Sparking Curiosity: Year 6 Visit the Year 9 Science Fair
From Mr Lachlan Barrett, Junior Academic Staff
On Tuesday 5 August, our Year 6 students visited the Year 9 Science Fair and were blown away by the creativity and innovation on display. From detailed models of the heart to interactive demonstrations of the digestive system, tectonic plates, earthquakes, and volcanoes, Year 6 made strong connections to their Term 2 Science studies on the Earth’s surface.
Congratulations to our Year 9 students on their outstanding work, and a big thank you to the Science staff for organising such an engaging and inspiring event. It was a fantastic glimpse into the hands-on, inquiry-driven learning that continues to await Year 6 in Senior School!
Kindergarten Celebrates 100 Days of Learning!
From Mrs Marlo Robson, Academic Staff
On 5 August, our Kindergarten students celebrated a major milestone - 100 days of school! Since their very first day, they’ve been eagerly counting each day on a class calendar, building excitement for this special occasion.
To mark the event, students donned their special crowns to enjoy a “Build Your Own Morning Tea” experience. Each child selected 100 small tasty items to arrange on their own placemat, combining fun, creativity, and a little bit of maths in a delicious celebration of learning.
Pre-K Christmas in July
From Director of Pre-Kinder, Mrs Ann-Margaret Gunther
Our Pre-Kindy had the most magical time celebrating Christmas in July last week. The room was filled with laughter and excitement as they created Christmas crafts from Santa in the chimney to Rudolph. They sang Christmas songs, dance to Santa Claus is coming to Town, and read fun Christmas story. The highlight of the day was a surprise visit from Santa himself, who brought joy, giggles, and a small treat for everyone. Such a fun day.
