National Science Week

This week is National Science Week. This year the theme is ‘Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language’. This theme invites students to investigate and explore the mysteries of the universe by exploring the patterns and languages of nature.

Throughout the week, students across the school have participated in activities to celebrate Science Week.

Across years Prep – 2 students explored patterns in nature by observing the shapes, sizes and patterns of leaves. They also learned about how animal colours and patterns help them to warn other animals or hide in their environment.

Across years 3 – 6 students investigated ways we can communicate through sound by learning about and using Morse Code. They also learned about how animals communicate through the patterns on their bodies, dance and movement.
