Unit of Work

Our Unit of Work this term is ‘History - Perspectives on Colonisation’. 

This will allow students to: 

• consider their own cultures and cultural backgrounds
• develop their understanding of the key events and dates of colonisation
• discuss the ways the events of colonisation impacted the lives of First Nations people both in
• the past and today
• explore the experiences and actions of key people involved in the dispossession of land throughout the colonies, including First Nations people
• examine the key roles of First Nations People in helping colonisers
• create a news headline summarising their research of a First Nations hero.
• identify the impact of colonisation in Australia today.
