Captains Corner

By Eliana

Hello everyone and welcome to this fortnight’s “Captains' Corner”. These 2 weeks have overfilled our schedule with the wonderful events.

Multiple fundraisers have showcased our artistic skills these past few weeks. First of all let’s give the hats off to our wonderful Year 6 art innovators and the group of girls that wanted to raise money for our sister school in Nepal, ‘JHAPA model English school’, by selling handmade bracelets, stickers and more! The art innovators surely have made an incredible start to raising money as well.

As we are undergoing a school review, I am certainly sure the school reviewers have been amazed and overjoyed to see the talents and skills our students have shown in the small span of time. Our school, CIS, and Student Voice Captains also gave their perspective on the school to the reviewers, which is just one way to show how student focused our school is.

I am sure our Year 2’s and 4’s are still enthralled from the energy they brought back from their excursions last week. On the 21st our Year 2’s visited the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens and must have learnt lots about our flora and fauna. Our Year 4’s took a turn towards the digital side of things at ACMI. They spent the day discovering the immersing themselves in engaging experiences that told the story of film, TV, video games and more.

Get ready…

In the upcoming weeks we are still packed with more. District sports players, we can’t wait to see the outstanding results! Year six camp, get packing! And year 1s, get ready for your CERES excursion.

Thank you for taking your time to read this fortnight’s ‘Captains Corner’.
