The feast of St John the Baptist – August 29th 

Saint John the Baptist is remembered for his unwavering commitment to truth and righteousness. He boldly proclaimed repentance and prepared the way for the Lord, even when it meant confronting powerful figures. His martyrdom stands as a powerful witness to the cost of discipleship and the courage of prophetic voice. His life calls us to speak truth with love and to remain faithful, even in the face of adversity.

Glorious Saint John the Baptist,

You prepared the way for the Lord with courage and humility.

Help us to be fearless in proclaiming the truth,

And faithful in living out our calling.

May your example inspire us to stand firm in justice and holiness,

Even when the path is difficult.

Pray for us, that we may always point others to Christ.
