Dear Families,
Well, here we are now halfway through term 3 and travelling towards spring. There has been a lot happening in our classrooms with a number of excursions and fun activities occurring throughout the school. Our newsletter will showcase some of the events that have taken place.
Thank you to the families who have come into school to talk about your child's learning. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in partnership in developing goals and adjustments to learning opportunities.
Many of you will have seen the recent announcements about proposed changes to the NDIS and may understandably be feeling uncertain about what this could mean. While it is wise for us all to prepare for some adjustments in the future, I want to reassure you that our priority at Catholic Special School remains the same, making sure students are supported to learn, grow and thrive.
This Thursday we have our Inclusive Futures Expo; this is an initiative through Catholic Special School and Nazareth College. This is an opportunity to explore disability supports and services, discover post school pathways, NDIS options, employment, health services and holiday programs for teens and young adults. Please join us from 6pm to 8pm at Nazareth Kidman Park Campus - 344 Findon Road, Kidman Park.
Thank you to the families who completed the LLL Survey.
Warm regards,
Shannon Correll
