Allied Health Update

Car Seat Training
This term, our Occupational Therapy team ran specialised car seat training sessions for staff. The training focused on building confidence and skills in safely fitting and securing car seats for our school buses. This will support safe and enjoyable excursions for all students, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while travelling. A big thank you to our OT team for leading this important work and to staff for their commitment to keeping our students safe on the move!
Allied Health Team Updates
We have been very excited to welcome Stacey, our new Allied Health Assistant, who joined our ever growing Allied Health team this term. Stacey has already been a wonderful addition to our team, bringing great energy, care, and support to both students and staff. We feel very lucky to have her on board!
Music Therapy - Music Video Update
Our music therapist Bingyao has been working on an original song with the students in the Green PLC, along with some community artists from MusicSpace. The end result will be a music video of this original song which is about our students' hopes and dreams.
This project has been progressing really well. We've had an excursion to a professional recording studio this term, and a filming day on the school grounds. Our filmmaker will be editing the footage over the school holiday, and we expect to have a launch party for this music video early next term. Keep watching this space!
End of Term Message
As we reach the end of Term 3, the Allied Health Team would like to thank students, families and staff for another wonderful term of learning and collaboration. It has been fantastic to see students growing in their independence, communication, and wellbeing, supported by the strong partnerships we share across our school community.
This term we have been busy working alongside teachers and education support staff to implement mealtime plans, support communication development, and build skills in mobility, daily living, and social participation. We’ve also enjoyed connecting with families through planning meetings and shared resources to help students thrive both at school and at home.
We are so proud of the progress our students have made and look forward to continuing this important work in Term 4. Thank you again for your ongoing support and commitment—it makes a real difference in helping our students achieve their goals.
We wish everyone a safe and restful holiday break.
