Student Learning and Special Events

Our students have been busy with a wide range of exciting opportunities this month, both at school and out in the community. They continue to make us proud with their enthusiasm and the way they represent our school. These new experiences aren’t just fun – they provide valuable learning, helping students build confidence, independence and connections beyond the classroom.

  • Footy Colours Day – Coming up next week! Our Student Leaders are running the day with hot pie lunch orders on offer.

  • Inclusive Play Space – Several groups of students explored the new playground at Rippleside Park this term. With swings, flying foxes, sand and water play, and wheelchair-friendly areas, it’s been a hit with our students and staff alike – a solid five-star review!

  • Father’s Day Fun – It was so lovely to see so many dads, grandads and other important people at school last week, making and flying paper aeroplanes with the students. The laughter, smiles and friendly competition made it a really special morning.

  •  Endeavour Cup Basketball Tournament - well done to our team who participated in this  event with other local schools.

  • Morning Tea – We recently welcomed our First Nations families to an informal morning tea at school. It was a warm and relaxed opportunity to come together, share stories, and strengthen connections. We look forward to making this a regular event that deepens the partnership between our families and our school community.

Whether it’s a dress-up day, a morning tea, or families joining us at school, these moments play an important role in creating meaningful memories for our students and building the strong, supportive community we value.

Parent Opinion Survey

The Parent Opinion Survey is still open until Friday 19 September. At the moment our response rate is sitting at 13%, and we’d love to hear from more of you. Your feedback really does help guide our forward planning, and it gives us the chance to reflect, act on what’s working, and adjust our practices where needed to better support our students and families.

SSG Meetings

A big thank you to all the parents, carers and support staff who came along to Student Support Group meetings this term. Your ideas and perspectives help us better support each child, and we’re grateful for the time and energy you give.

Accessible Parking

A friendly reminder that our accessible parking spaces are very limited and are intended for quick drop-off and pick-up. If you’re staying longer during arrival or departure times, we kindly ask that you move your car across the road after settling your child, so these spaces remain available for other families to use. Thank you for your understanding and support.

2026 Bus Planning

If your child will need bus transport in 2026 and hasn’t used the service before, please get in touch with our Bus Coordinator, Lisa  early next term to discuss what’s available.

Facilities Update

Over the holidays, all of our fences will start to be replaced. Internal areas should be finished before students return, with the external sections continuing into the following weeks. Temporary fencing will be in place where needed to keep everything safe, and we’re hoping the works cause very little disruption.

R U OK? Day – is such an important reminder about staying connected and looking out for each other. Thank you to Jessie, Jacqui and Ruby for organising our morning tea (and for the delicious cupcakes!).

Early Finish – Last Day of Term

Lastly, just a reminder that school will finish early at 2:30 PM on the last day of term. We hope you enjoy a safe and restful break, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in October for the start of Term 4. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership — working together makes all the difference for our students.
