Community and Family Engagement (CAFE) Meeting

Thank you to the parents who have already responded to our CAFE meeting. If you would like to attend and have not yet responded, following is the information previously sent out.

This term our CAFE meeting will focus on homework, where we will begin the process of developing a new school homework policy. This initiative is a direct response to feedback we received from the recent Tell Them From Me (TTFM) parent survey as well as the survey sent earlier in the year.

Our goal is to create a policy that is effective and reflects the needs of our entire school community. We anticipate that this new policy will come into effect in 2026.

Your participation is essential to this process. The first step is a parent consultation, which will take place on Wednesday, August 13th.

Following this, we will establish a Homework Committee composed of staff members. This committee will be tasked with:

  • Analysing Parent Feedback: to understand the valuable insights gathered from our discussions with you.
  • Gathering Staff Perspectives: collecting feedback from all staff members to ensure we develop a consistent, shared approach to homework across the school.

This collaborative effort, which integrates both parent and staff input, is vital for creating a homework policy that is effective and equitable for everyone.

To ensure you have an opportunity to participate, we will be holding three CAFE sessions on Wednesday, August 13th. We encourage you to attend one of the following sessions. Tea and coffee will be provided at all sessions.

  • Session 1: Wednesday 13 August - after the morning assembly
  • Session 2: Wednesday 13 August - 2:15 pm (before afternoon pickup)
  • Session 3: Wednesday 13 August - 7:00 pm

Please RSVP via this link so we are able to prepare for the meetings.
