Principal's Message
Ms Grace Carlo-Stella
While we often see our faith in the symbols around the school, our Catholic identity is truly expressed in the way we treat each other. It is in how we interact with others, how we behave and act every day. Our actions are a direct reflection of our values. This includes respecting each other, listening thoughtfully without interrupting, and reflecting before we act. We can assist in teaching the children the right way to do things by modelling these behaviours for them, for example, by listening attentively during assemblies and at mass. It is also important to talk to your child about how to show respect to others, listening and accepting others’ opinions.
In a modern world, strengthening our Catholic identity is about more than just preserving traditions. It is about actively living out values like dignity, compassion, justice and hope in a visible and meaningful way. Our Catholic identity is rooted in our shared belief that Jesus knows and loves each of us unconditionally.
Values like justice, peace and courage are not just ideas we talk about; they are the work we do. In a world full of conflict, true peace requires courage and it is something we must all commit to creating together and showing good examples to our children.
Faith is not just something we talk about—it is something we live.
Kind regard,
Grace
