Gordon's Retirement Celebration

Today, the extended ENPS community gathered at a special school assembly and retirement send-off for Gordon Bell, our treasured crossing guard and pillar of our community. On behalf of us all, Kate Barletta shared our sincerest appreciation for Gordon's incredible contribution to Essendon North Primary School over 22 years, followed by Lisa, Ethan and Saanvi presenting a framed personalised crossing guard vest, book of student messages, gift hamper and special "Gordon's Crossing" plaque for McCulloch Street. There wasn't a dry in in the house as Gordon took the mic to deliver his heartfelt response! Tears aside, we were thrilled to send Gordon off in style and end the celebration with a guard of honour formed by Year Six students, parents (past and present), and friends on McCulloch Street. Although Gordon has hung up the hi-vis and passed his stop sign over to Imogen, we'll certainly still him around ENPS in the years ahead. Congratulations Gordon! (not goodbye!)
