Year Six Exhibition
Our Year Six cohort presented their much anticipated Exhibition yesterday! As part of the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) Primary Years’ Programme (PYP) Exhibition, students are expected to be active citizens and to take action to show understanding, to apply knowledge and skills, to reflect, and often to make a contribution to a cause or stimulate positive change.
Over the past ten weeks students have been inquiring into the central idea 'Science knowledge is used in decision making'. At this week's big event, student groups presented various lines of inquiry including physics, chemistry, viruses and vaccines, genetics, pollution, the arctic, adaptations, irreversible changes, volcanoes, systems of the human body and many more.
The school gym was transformed with creative and informative stalls, and students proudly shared their learning with our younger year levels, staff and family members throughout the day. Exhibition groups also delivered TEDx Talks, poetry, rap and Performing Arts on stage, demonstrating how to be brave, bold and connected in front of an large audience! It was a great turnout from our ENPS community, and attendees were impressed by group members' depth of scientific knowledge and willingness to promote their topic.
Congratulations to our Year Six Leaders in Action for your commitment and huge efforts on the day, and across your entire Exhibition journey. We are so proud of you all. A shout out to our Specialist and mentor teachers across all year levels who supported the groups throughout their inquiry, to family and community members for attending, and to everyone involved in helping make Exhibition 2024 a huge success!
