Go Girls' 100km Challenge

On Thursday 17 October, 40 Marian students attended the Go Girls' 100km Challenge at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.  The students were put into different team colours - Orange, Pink, White, Purple.  Each team was set up with branded battens - school name and team colour.

The students lined up in team colours - they dressed up in tootoos, ribbon in hair, face paint, and crystals to represent their team.

At the end of the day I asked the groups what their thoughts were of the day and the foundation:

ORANGE TEAM - we really enjoyed today, great cause, having fun and raising money.  It was great to meet students from other schools and a great way to motivate ourselves and be healthy.

PINK TEAM - it was fun and really good, enjoyed by all and a great set up by the foundation.  It was good that it's only girl schools because it emphasises that it's for women specifically.

WHITE TEAM - great that all girls can come together and help each other from other schools.  Fun and inspirational and feels good to help girls in need.

PURPLE TEAM - fantastic cause to raise money for and to meet others from other schools and all different age groups.  It was especially great to see teachers getting involved and running or walking.
