St Augustine's Parish Annual Cemetery Mass

Community members are invited to our Annual Parish Cemetery Mass tomorrow, Saturday 2nd November, at 9.00am at the Kyabram Cemetery.  Please bring a chair.

Harmony Day - Friday 8th November

Next Friday we will celebrate St Augustine's College Harmony Day with a number of exciting activities.

The day will begin with a Cultural Parade to showcase the cultural heritage of each of our students. Students are encouraged to wear clothing which represents or provides a connection to their cultural heritage. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend the parade on the College Oval from 9.00-9.30am.

During the day, a United Cup of Nations Soccer Game will take place for secondary students. Each year level has been chosen to represent a different nation: Brazil, Nigeria, Argentina, India, and France. Year 7 v Year 8 will be the opening match. Each team will be introduced with their national anthem, with each team playing once. Our winning Year 11 team will then have the opportunity to face off against a staff team.

Food from various cultures will be available for pre-order at our canteen. This has been subsidised by the College to encourage students to try food from cultures other than what they are familiar with.

Food options include lamb kofta, sushi rolls (chicken or vegetarian), bao buns, chicken fried rice, cannoli and samosas.

Please place orders no later than Monday 4th November using the following order form.

The day will culminate in our Colour Run encouraging students to get out and get active as part of a fun, social, colourful and inclusive event within the school grounds.

Foundation - Year 6 will commence at 2.00pm and Years 7-11 at approximately 2.30pm.

We are seeking interested parents and caregivers to assist with our Colour Run. Please email carolyngoode@sakyabram.vic.edu.au if you are able to help.

Students are encouraged to wear old or white clothing for the colour run and are required to wear a hat. The colour powder used for the event is non-toxic and safe, but students with asthma should carefully consider their participation. Further information can be found via the Operoo dated 21st October 2024.

We look forward to celebrating Harmony Day activities with students and families.
