Mr Men Little Miss

We've had an exciting fortnight of learning and creativity!

Students recently created their very own Mr. Men Little Miss characters, crafting stories filled with imagination and personality. Throughout the week, we read a variety of Mr. Men books to get inspired, and students focused on using their own unique "author's voice" in their work. A highlight for the students was publishing these wonderful books and sharing them with the Preps—our young audience was captivated, and the authors enjoyed a well-deserved moment of pride!

Math - Tables

We’ve been diving into multiplication and division, exploring various strategies to understand these concepts. Practicing at home can be a fantastic way to reinforce what we’re learning, especially through fun activities like grouping items or using objects around the house. We have particularly focused on multiplying by 3 and 4, using strategies like "Double Plus One Group" (for 3 times tables) and "Double Doubles" (for 4 times tables).

Looking ahead, our Numeracy lessons will focus on shapes. We’ll start by identifying the difference between regular and irregular polygons and explore the features of 2D shapes, like edges and corners. We’re even beginning to look into the basics of angles, which will be an exciting way for students to build on their understanding of shapes.
