Writing - multimodal and sentence types
In the past fortnight, students have continued to work on creating multimodal texts. They learned to use Book Creator on the iPad to create texts that include videos, pictures, emojis, and drawings. They then wrote narratives and information reports using the app.
Students also learned to upload their works to Seesaw afterwards.
Students learned about four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. Using their knowledge of these sentence types, they then wrote narratives as well as cards for the teachers on World Teacher’s Day.
Math - skip counting
We revisited skip counting and introduced new learning activities for our students. One of their favourite activities was "Numbers on the Back." In this activity, the teacher sticks a mystery number behind each student’s back. They then walk around the room and look at other students’ numbers. Students ask each other closed-ended questions to find out what the number on their back is, and they keep track by marking on their number board. Our students have really enjoyed this!
